DESCRIPTION:The Workforce Development Board of San Joaquin County in partnership with San Joaquin County Office of Education\, San Joaquin Delta College\, and the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards has developed a San Joaquin County Apprenticeship Initiative.\n\n\n\nApprenticeship programs help employers recruit\, build\, and retain a highly skilled workforce. Apprentices who completed their apprenticeships stay with the company to become employees in over 90% of reported cases. This retention rate is an incredible competitive advantage in today's limited labor market. Underutilization of apprenticeship represents a significant lost opportunity to efficiently train our workforce with 21st-century skills and create a stronger economy.
