DESCRIPTION:The annual spring orchestra concert featuring concerto competition winners will include Kipp Brewer ?16 performing the first movement of Haydn?s Trumpet Concerto in E-flat\, Janos Csontos ?16 performing the Glazunov Concerto for Alto Saxophone\, Richard Fiallos ?16 performing the first movement of the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor\, and Madelaine Matej ?16\, soprano\, performing ?Sul fil d?un soffio etesio? from Verdi?s Falstaff and ?Be Kind and Courteous? from Britten?s A Midsummer Night?s Dream. All four winners of this year?s competition are Music Performance majors. The concert will also include a performance of Sir Edward Elgar?s Enigma Variations.
