Piano Program Director and Chairman of the Performance Studies Department at University of the Pacific?s Conservatory of Music, Frank Wiens will be performing a recital on February 12. The repertoire for this recital is a Schubert Impromptu, Op. 142, No. 1; Beethoven?s Eroica Variations; Tchaikovsky?s Dumka; Rachmaninoff?s Etude Tableau in C Major, Opus 33, No. 2, Etude Tableau in Eb Minor, Op 39, No. 5, and Prelude in C Minor, Opus 23, No. 7; and Chopin?s Sonata No. 3 in B minor. The February 12 performance is the last of a tour that will take Wiens to San Francisco, Lodi, and Sacramento before bringing it to Pacific.
