For the first time in fifteen years, new music by University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music?s Composition faculty will be premiered on the same concert. The concert will debut Dr. Robert Coburn?s Quiet Traceries and Dr. Francois Rose?s chamber opera the stone marker. These new works will be performed by ensembles made up of Conservatory faculty members. Personnel: Quiet Traceries: Sabine Klein, piano, Mathew Krejci, alto/bass flute, Patricia Shands, clarinet, Jonathan Latta, vibraphone, Travis Silvers, guitar, and Thomas Derthick, doublebass. the stone marker: Mathew Krejci, flute, Thomas Nugent, oboe, Patricia Shands, clarinet, Nicolasa Kuster, bassoon, Jennie Blomster, French horn, Ann Miller, violin, Igor Veligan, Viola, Nina Flyer, cello, Thomas Derthick, double bass, and Sabine Klein, piano.
