University of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra ft. Concerto Competition Winners

The annual spring orchestra concert featuring concerto competition winners will include Kipp Brewer ?16 performing the first movement of Haydn?s Trumpet Concerto in E-flat, Janos Csontos ?16 performing the Glazunov Concerto for Alto Saxophone, Richard Fiallos ?16 performing the first movement of the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, and Madelaine Matej ?16, soprano, performing ?Sul fil d?un soffio etesio? from Verdi?s Falstaff and ?Be Kind and Courteous? from Britten?s A Midsummer Night?s Dream. All four winners of this year?s competition are Music Performance majors. The concert will also include a performance of Sir Edward Elgar?s Enigma Variations.
