The focus will be on Veteran-Owned Businesses but Non-Veteran Businesses are encouraged to attend. Attendees will learn about the various business designations and set-aside programs such as the 8(a) Program, HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) just to name a few. The registration sites required in order to do business with the Federal Government such as the System for Award Management (SAM) site, SBA’s Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) site and the Dept. of Veterans Affairs VetBiz site. The various sites where solicitations, i.e. Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals, Sources Sought, etc., will be posted in sites such as the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) site and an overview of navigating FedBizOpps searching for a solicitation and the contractual terms and conditions involved.
